CHOCOLATE CHIP & SALTED PECAN COOKIES

These are basic cookies but what made them special was the addition of salted pecans.  A glass of milk on the side is de rigeuer.  Make sure you put the butter on the counter a few hours before you want to mix up this dough.  It’s important that the butter be soft!

    Directions

    Put the dry ingredients in a bowl and whisk until combined. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

    Step 1

    Cream the butter and sugars in the Kitchenaid mixer until fluffy.

    Step 2

    Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture. Combine in the mixer.

    Step 3

    Add the flour mixture, and combine. I used my hands!

    Step 4

    Add the chips and pecans. Again, I used my hands.

    Step 5

    Drop equal sized gobs of cookie dough on a cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
